• fiction and creative nonfiction, 6-1,000 words

  • prose poetry, under 200 words (or so)

  • poetry, under 50 lines

  • up to three pieces per submission, but please stick with one genre per submission

WHEN: submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, with the aim of publishing 1-3 pieces weekly



  • state your name and genre in subject line (i.e. Sally Snail - Fiction)

  • say hello and include a brief third-person bio in the body of the email 

  • attach your submission as a Word doc or PDF (if submitting multiple pieces, please include them all in one document)

  • attach an author photo (optional!)

WE’RE LOOKING FOR: pieces that don’t follow traditional narrative arcs, that surprise us and leave us with some questions, that overflow with fresh sensory language, that make our hearts hurt a little. Send us your spirals, your misfits, your miscreants, your outcasts, your rebels, your ramblings, your gut-punches.

WE’RE NOT LOOKING FOR: anything remotely racist, homophobic, misogynistic, bigoted; gratuitous sex, violence, or vulgarity
